  2. Encampus is offering various Summer Camps for the kids with ages between 6 and 14. Our offering include -

  5. What are EnCampus summer offerings for first timers to Lego or Robotics in general
  6. All our summer camps are open to beginners. Most camps are designed to be self-paced hands-on activities and as such can accommodate varying degree of skills and experiences.

  7. What are EnCampus summer offerings for experienced 'hands' on Robotics
  8. Our Robotics summer camps are designed to engage both beginners and experienced kids alike. All the camps are designed to be self-paced, and as such the pace and absorption of the content may vary but there is enough content to engage most advanced robotics users. We also offer advance thinking skills, design concepts, programming techniques for campers who are experienced.

  9. What are EnCampus schedules for the two locations
  10. Morning session is from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    Afternoon session is from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
    We provide extended care for additional fee between 8:00 - 9:00 AM, 12:00 - 1:00 PM and 4:00 - 6:00 PM. For campers in full-day camps care is provided between 12:00 - 1:00 PM free of cost. Please refer to our website for additional details.

  11. My kid is 4/5/6 years old. Can he/she take a summer course with Encampus? What do you recommend for this age group?
  12. At present the recommended minimum age is 6 years. If you believe you kid has enough poise to stay in a half/full day of class its your call to put them in a camp. For the kids of ages under 9 we recommend LEGO WeDo Camps, Scratch Programming, Advanced Thinking Skills and Creative Crafting.

  13. Can we 'measure' what the child has learned at EnCampus Summer program
  14. Our summer camps are designed to be fun and engaging while imparting valuable knowledge in the areas of Science, Technology, Math and Engineering. Since our primary focus during the summer camps is fun based learning we do not measure individual student's achievement. However our competition rounds will show a measure of how much each kid had managed to absorb and put to use.

  15. Does my child receive any completion certificate at the end of the program
  16. Yes we do provide a participation certificate at the end of each program, we also provide special achievement certificates based on curriculum.

  17. Who teaches the courses offered at EnCampus
  18. Our enrichment programs are conducted by experienced teachers and instructors with diverse backgrounds. What all of them share in common is several years of experience in working with kids, passion for education, sciences, technology and engineering. Several of them bring valuable experiences from several industries. Our summer camps are conducted by part-time teachers, college students with gifted education background, and assisted by several high-school students with gifted education background.

  19. What is the student to instructor ratio
  20. We have 1 principal instructor and an assistant for every 20 kids. So the ratio is almost always under 10.

  21. Are students of different age groups put together in one session/batch
  22. This changes from camp to camp. Some times we do put together kids of different age groups in the same camp. However they partner with kids of near-age group. (ex. 6-8 years)

  23. Are girls and boys put-together in a batch/session
  24. Yes, Encampus is a co-ed institution and it is not uncommon for boys and girls to work together. However we do offer some girls only camps, please check our schedule if you are interested.

  25. How safe is the facility

  26. We take kids-safety very serious. All our facilities are kid-friendly. Our centers are open for visits with scheduled appointments. Please visit our centers at your convenience.

  27. What are drop and pickup timings for morning and afternoon sessions
  28. You may drop the kids 15 min ahead of each session and must pick within 15 min of session conclusion. For those who cannot drop or pickup with the stipulated times we do offer extended care for additional fees.

  29. What is the capacity of a single session in a location
  30. Our current batches are generally capped at 16 per batch.

  31. What is the enrollment process
    1. Download the enrollment form from the schedule page for your location
    2. Fill the form and calculate the total after the discounts if any are applicable
    3. Mail the form along with a check for the required fee
    If you wish to pay with a card, we may be able to accommodate but you may have to stop by in person.
    If you are redeeming any vouchers purchased from Living Social, Groupon or Certifikid please indicate it in your enrollment from along with voucher numbers.

  32. How to make payments
  33. You may visit us at either our location (you may need appointment), or at events we participate promoting EnCampus and can pay with Credit/Debit card.
    You can mail a check with enrollment form.
    You can redeem any vouchers bought from Living Social, Groupon and Certifikid.
    We are working on enabling online payment system, once that is done you should be able to register and pay online.

  34. How soon should I register to reserve a seat
  35. We say as soon as possible for you so that you can avail the dates of your choice.

  36. What is EnCampus refund policy
  37. We need a 4 week notice unless a waiver is obtained.

  38. How to withdraw a child from an enrolled program
  39. Once the camp commences we cannot refund any of the paid dues. Otherwise you may withdraw your kid any time you choose.

  40. What does Encampus charge for a half-day sessions
  41. Our regular price a half-day camp is $450. But we do have several discounts and offers in place. Please check our website or talk to a rep.

  42. What does Encampus charge for full-day sessions
  43. Our regular price for a full-day camp is $750. But we do have several discounts and offers in place. Please check our website or talk to a rep.

  44. Does EnCampus offer any discounts for repeat students signing on multiple weeks/programs in a summer

  48. Is there any sibling discounts offered at Encampus
  49. There is currently a sibling discount of $25.

  50. Does the cost include lunch or snacks
  51. No, the cost does not include any food.

  52. Should the student BYOD to the session he is enrolled in? Should the student bring anything to participate in any of the programs offered at EnCampus summer camps?
  53. Most materials are provided by the Encampus unless stated otherwise.

  54. What to wear for the camps? Any outdoor activity involved?
  55. There is no specific dress code. Please wear something comfortable. You can also wear encamps spirit-wear. At present we cannot accomodate any outdoor activities.

  56. Is there any pick-up and drop service for the summer camps offered at EnCampus
  57. No, we do not offer any transportation services at this time.

  58. Allergies/Medical condition of my student/camper needs special attention/care. Does EnCampus support my child
  59. We do support kids with allergies in most circumstances. Please fill the emergency medical form. Also inform the instructors about the special needs. However please talk to our staff about your child's needs and make sure that we do have sufficient trained perssonnel for your kid's speacial needs. Also consider if the kid can participate for the full duration of the camp at thier best capacity. As most of the camp-activities are self-paced and require high involvement from campers, if a camper in unable to continuously work on activities the camper may not be able to benefit from the program.

  60. How to continue the interest in STEM for my child after participating in EnCampus summer program? How does EnCampus support my child's interest after summer?
  61. Encampus offers a number of enrichment programs and clubs through out the year. Please talk to a rep or check our website for further details.

  62. Does EnCampus offer extended care? If yes what are the fees?
  63. We do offer extended care from 8:00 - 9:00 AM, 12:00 - 1:00 PM, and 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
    Fee for the extended care for the kids enrolled for a half-day is $45 and for full-day it is $75.

  64. Does EnCampus need minimum enrollment to conduct a week's session
  65. Yes, our minimum requirement for any camp to commence is 7 students.
